Often I find myself with a lot of extra time to spend at work. Especially when I’m stuck with endless and poorly played college football games in the studio.
In the course of reading the latest donation salvo from Wikipedia I realized that I do, in fact, use the site far more than the measly $2.75 donation I infrequently contribute merits. One could easily get lost down the Wiki hole of admittedly sometimes dubious information and excruciating minutiae about infinitesimal topics.
So I decided to use Wikipedia in the service of this tournament.
There are seven major genres I’ve chosen for us to explore further:
1. Rock and Roll
2. Electronic
3. Country
4. Blues
5. Metal
6. Folk
7. Pop
When you search each major genre, pick either the sub-genres list or alternatively the derivative list for the next choice. Pick a genre or derivative from that list.
From that point, find a representative band or artist and give me a song. I hope that the results will be even more interesting (or frightening) than ever. Please put the genre trail in the description line so I can vet. Don’t think repeat songs will be a problem. Jeff gets the extra song for the help with the webhook.
Go deep!!!
